I
know what boys want...
There is
an old punk tune by an all girl band that says, "I know
what boys want, I know what boys like, boys like, boys like
ME."
I don't
pretend to know what all men want, but I do know a little bit
based on 15 years of taking my clothes off in front of men in
the company of other women.
A few days
ago a friend made a comment I must have heard a hundred times
by now. "I would dance, but I don't look good enough."
Admittedly,
before I became an exotic dancer I had probably a similar unreal
vision of fantastically beautiful, tall, slender, tiny waist,
flat-bellied blonds with huge artificial tits and a few years
of professional dance training (thank you Playboy).
Excuse me
while I laugh my ass off.
Okay, now
welcome to the real world. Exotic dancers come in every shape,
size and color of woman and men love them all. As I have often
told a male customer who made a denigrating remark about another
dancer, "You can be sure if she is dancing she is making
money at it. If she is making money at it, it is because there
is at least one man in this bar right this minute who believes
she is the most beautiful woman in the world."
Some of
the most popular girls I have known were girls that our ridiculous
western society would have dubbed "heavy" (if they
were feeling polite), and that I call "voluptuous".
Either word describes a woman with big, round, natural breasts,
a nice round tummy, big hips and ass, and a little tuck in the
waist area. You know what? Men love big natural tits. They cannot
get enough of them. Personally, I've always envied the well-padded
girls their smooth, beautiful skin.
Have you
ever seen the movie "Ready to Wear"? In the last scene
the runway models parade around naked. Look at those women.
Just LOOK at them. Not to hurt anyone's feelings but they look
horrible; emaciated, flat chested, bony, and half dead. They
are not sexy real women, they are animated clothes hangers.
Oh yes,
there are girls who are naturally tall and slender and never
gain an ounce. And dancing makes them wonderfully fit with sleek,
long muscles to give them shape. There are men who like them
best.
Other girls
are more like myself - petite and pixie like with athletic builds.
Men like us, too. I knew a black girl who was Amazonian, over
six feet tall and all muscle. Men loved her, even when she towered
over them.
I do get
angry about this modern western society concept that women should
be so horribly slender. It has led to untold suffering and is
the most awful myth. We are told to starve ourselves to be attractive
to men. Yet I have had many men tell me and show me with their
dollars that that is not what they are looking for.
In fact,
as I grew older and put on some weight and curves I couldn't
diet or exercise off, some of my regular customers told me they
much preferred the way I looked, that I looked more "womanly"
with a little belly!
I am not
telling you to run out and get a job as a stripper. Although,
you know, it's not a bad way to make a living. Chuckle.
What I am
telling you is to love yourself the way you are - because somewhere
out there is a man who thinks you are the most beautiful woman
in the world. Probably way more than one...
